I had gone to several dentists the first 40 years of my life, and they were less-than-pleasant experiences where I would dread going back. With that kind of a fear and all, I didn’t go back as often as I should. When I first went to Dr. Stuckey about 30 years ago, it was out of absolute necessity. The crowns I had to have because those teeth had gone bad … what I went to him first for was to have all of them pulled and get dentures. I was tired of fooling with it.

He talked me out of that, said that he could make things better, and he did, and I’m very, very glad that he talked me out of dentures. He’s very gentle, very patient. When you have to have extensive dental work done, it’s never fun, but compared to the dentists that I’d used the first 40 years, it was not a nightmare at all. It was as pleasant as it could be. I never feared coming back to see him for further appointments.

He was able to get me into optimal dental health, that the last several years, I have had no problems at all, I’ve just gone in for my cleanings, get a good report. It’s been a wonderful, wonderful experience.

I was chewing on an olive that had a pit in it. And I bit down on the pit and broke my tooth. I’d never cracked a tooth before, so I didn’t really know how much damage I had done. It was a molar, and my tooth was cracked. I had no pain, so I called Dr. Stuckey, and he said, “I’ll meet you at the office in the morning.” And I got in my four-wheel drive and drove to the office in an ice storm when he was supposed to be closed. And he fixed my tooth for me, and I couldn’t believe I got ahold of him. I couldn’t believe he quickly responded to my needs. It was so painless and so quick that I didn’t have a chance to get nervous about it.

I’ve been coming to Dr. Stuckey for over 20 years. The first time I walked in the door, I felt right at home. The staff is so professional. When you walk in you get a warm, friendly greeting, and that goes through the office. Not only at the front door, but all the way through the office, and you feel so at home there. My family has a history of heart disease, and I know there’s a correlation there between heart disease and oral health. I did have a problem, and they check it every six months to make sure that the gums are healthy. And they have given me the confidence that they are working towards my health. I have recommended Dr. Stuckey so many times because he is trustworthy, he knows what he’s doing, he’s on the cutting edge of technology, and I feel very, very comfortable with him. I just want you to know that with Dr. Stuckey and the staff, they’re the best.
