My favorite thing about going to the dentist is seeing Miss Connie, and one time they had my dentist appointment scheduled on January 16, which is my birthday, and she was about to change it, and I said no, because I like going to the dentist so much I went on my birthday one year. I always feel like I’m just part of the family and they’re all so kind to me. They have a TV up at the top, and Miss Connie normally puts it on what I like and then she cleans my teeth and I watch TV. If something was ever wrong with my teeth, then he wouldn’t be all mad at me. I feel like he would be really nice about it. He wouldn’t go all the Grinch on me.
Every time I go, I get a toothbrush. I get one of those things that you can flip upside down to a timer, and normally I’ll get a bracelet or something. I would say just because they’re all really nice and that place just gives off a good vibe because everybody that works there is always so kind and sweet and they’re never mean. They’re always nice and they always make you feel welcome.
They treat you like a person, not a number. I’m 76 years old. I’ve probably been to 20 dentists in my lifetime all over the country. Some of them, you know, you just run through and they don’t know who you are.
At Dr. Stuckey’s office, they do. They know your name. They know your family. They ask about your family. They call you by name. I don’t think anybody gets in the morning saying, “Oh, gee, I get to go to the dentist today,” but we have to sometimes and it’s necessary, and I don’t know of any better place to go. That’s why I go there. I would recommend them without any reservations at all.
It’s great. It really is. Scheduling is always great. We get a call from Miss Brenda. They remind me multiple times ’cause I am forgetful and have a busy schedule, so once I do get in there, I almost never have to sit down and wait. I just go straight to the back, get my blood pressure checked. That’s one of the things that I really like, just to make sure everything is good there, because I may not go to the doctor all the time, but when I’m there, it’s a good thing to get done. Dr. Stuckey, when he comes in, he’ll ask how I’m doing, make sure everything is gone, then starts to look, checks all my teeth. It’s quick, painless. Everything about it is such a great experience. It is absolutely the best, the best service, the best everything that’s out there.
